Thomas Henry Bledsoe

He has arrived! I apologize for the delay in getting photos up on the site. We have had minor technical difficulties with the camera cord uploading. Thomas Henry will be 2 weeks old tomorrow. We are absolutely smitten! Please check back here for more photos and updates from our sweet family of three!

FULL MOONS
As we wait for our little one to arrive we have heard about the
effect of the full moon calendar can have on expectant mothers!
Tuesday evening - April 27th - I had totally forgot about the moon. Erik said, "I have a surprise for you" and asked that I put my robe on and come outside. He has been "nesting" over the past couple of weeks - tackling several HUGE projects around the house. I thought this was another "REVEAL" (like on Extreme Home Makeover) cause that is what it has felt like around our house lately! Excitedly, I followed him to the front door to see the beautiful full moon glowing in the sky. The moon was majestic and we both danced a little jig in the front yard hoping to incite some movement!
The official full moon was last night - April 28th - and nothing new to report! The moon was still beautiful and I am still pregnant! :)

Babymoon

A Babymoon, what the heck is that?

That is exactly what my sweet husband said many months ago. After I explained that it was a trip specifically for the parents before the arrival of a baby, he was on board 100%! We found a "Ding" special on Southwest and off we went last week to Phoenix, AZ for some rest and relaxation. We had a wonderful time and are so grateful for the finances to be able to take a trip before the arrival of our first little one.

One of our favorite things to do in Arizona is to talk long walks or hikes around the mountains. We love to inspect all of the new ( new to us, that is) species of cactus! My favorite cactus looks like it has little polka dots all over it. The landscape and architecture is so refreshing and new to us "southerners"!

Now that we are back home reality is hitting! We have several items to still make decisions on, the rocker / glider, rug and I am starting to "nest" throughout the house! Watch out!
